A Tailored Approach
To Your Security

If you’re looking into security doors and windows for your luxury home, this is probably not the first website you’ve visited looking for more information. There are plenty of manufacturers out there, but we’re confident that you won’t find anyone else doing what we’re doing.

Not only are our doors and windows elegant and beautiful, but they’re completely customizable from the inside out and can be tailored to fit your exact design aesthetic — without compromising your security needs. We can literally make anything you want. We like to say that if you can dream it, we can do it.

The other thing that sets us apart from the competition is the approach we take and the experts we bring into the process. From the start, we’ll engage architects, engineers, technology experts, and security experts (who literally protected the President — two of them, in fact) to look over your design plans.

These experts will work with your existing architects, interior designers, security team, and anyone else you feel is important to make sure that all of your needs and expectations are being addressed — and not just met, but exceeded.

Let’s get into our process and the experts with whom we proudly partner.

Step 1: Evaluate Your Security
Needs & House Plans

When we first engage with clients, we ask a lot of questions and do a lot of listening. This is entirely about you, so it’s very important for us that we understand exactly what you need from the start. We can’t give you what you need if we don’t know what that is.

At the beginning, Vice President of Sales, Babette Murphy, or a highly-qualified member of her sales team will be spending a lot of time getting to know you and your design team.

Together with your security team, architect, and interior designer, we’ll discuss security concerns you have, the type of security you feel you need to adequately protect yourself and your family, and look at the plans you have for your luxury home.

Your architect and interior designer can help guide us on color palette choices and which materials would fit the aesthetic of your home. Here, we can also discuss the security level of windows and how the different types of glass will affect the frame size and the weight of the window itself.

The initial planning stage is a great time to discuss BallistiCrete. If security is a major concern for you, BallistiCrete is a product that will quite literally bulletproof your walls. It can certainly be added later on, but if you’re doing a new-build or a large-scale renovation, it’s good to plan for that extra step. Furthermore, you could even opt to create an entire wall out of BallistiCrete — a feat much easier if you don’t have to tear a wall out first.

And of course, this is also when we’ll discuss your budget. Before we get started on design, we want to make sure that we’re all on the same page — that you understand what we can provide for you and what it will cost, and we understand what you’re looking to spend.

Regardless of whether you’re building a new home, remodeling your existing home, or simply looking for better doors and windows, we can make anything you want. No matter what, we’ll make sure your security is never compromised.

Step 2: Assemble The Team

The next step is the manufacturing of the doors and windows. The engineers in Italy will hand off the approved designs to the skilled artisans who hand-make each and every product. These artisans have been building high security doors and windows for over twenty years and they’re very good at what they do. We have no doubt you’ll feel the same when you see your final products.

After the doors and windows have been completed, they’re temporarily installed in the warehouse for testing. The artisans open and close the doors to make sure the hinges or pivot points are working properly, program and test all the biometric security features, triple-check the locks on windows, and look for any kind of imperfection or flaw so they’re completely certain that when that product is shipped out, it’s perfect.

Once they’re satisfied with testing, the doors and windows get packed up and shipped to their final destination, which could literally be anywhere — we ship worldwide.

Step 3: Design & Engineer Your
Doors, Windows & Technology

Julia will discuss the design of the door(s) with your design team, from the type of door (regular hinge or pivot) to the materials that will fit your aesthetic to any special features you’d like to be added (like hidden compartments!).

Another major factor during Julia’s discussions with you will be your climate-specific needs. Some of the materials we use in our door coverings cannot be used in hot and humid climates (even inside, like in a bathroom), while others need to be covered by a porch or portico if used outside. If you don’t have plans for a portico, she will not recommend those coverings.

We always stress the completely custom approach to design because clients often express concern that their new doors and windows will look out of place with their existing decor — that the window frames or glass will look different, or an interior door won’t match the rest of the doors in the home. Not only is that prospect unsightly (and therefore, unacceptable), it could also tip off potential home invaders to your security measures.

We pride ourselves in being able to completely tailor every door and window to match exactly what already exists in your luxury home. You don’t have to worry about your security measures sticking out — we’ll make sure they’re invisible and elegant.

Based on her site visit (if possible) and discussions with you and your design team, Julia will create three different designs for your doors, complete with recommended color selections and material options, preferred technology, and any special considerations you requested. Once you’ve chosen a design and your architect and interior designer have signed off on it, Julia sends the approved design to the engineers in Italy.

Provided they agree that all specifications are possible, they sign off on the project, and we move on to the next step: building and testing.

Step 4: Engineer, Build & Test

Engineering Plans

Before building can begin on your completely customized doors and windows, the engineering build documents must be written. After you, your architect, and your interior designer have all agreed on a design and signed off on the drawings Julia and her team have created for you, our architectural team will work with the engineers to create complete plans.

This document is the blueprint for the artisans in Italy who will build your doors and windows by hand. It includes measurements, hardware specifications, coverings that will be used on the final doors, glass composition for windows or inserts, hidden compartments the client has requested, and anything else that will affect the artisan’s work.

As soon as these plans are approved, the experts in Italy take it over.

Build & Test

Step 5: Delivery & Installation

The final step is delivery and installation. From start to finish, this process takes about 60 days, assuming there are no delays on the client side.

Because we’re a manufacturer, we’re not legally allowed to install the doors and ourselves, which some clients find strange. But we like to look at it as a good thing — you get to hire whichever contractor you trust, and we have a technician present during installation to make sure everything is going according to plan, and offer guidance to the contractor.

Once your door is installed (or from the date of frequent use, if you’re not living there at the time), the Platinum Level Service plan kicks in. What this means is that you’ll have a person to call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week if anything is wrong with your doors or windows, you’re having any trouble programming your technology, or you need help of any kind.

If you do need a maintenance call, we will be at your place of residence within 48 hours (weather and travel permitting) to fix whatever the problem is. Even if an unrelated contractor cuts the cable to your motorized front door two months after installation, we’ll come out and see that it gets repaired. If we can’t do it ourselves, we’ll find a local contractor for you.

No matter what happens, you’ll have one phone number to call and we’ll take care of the rest. We like to say it’s Fast, Bold, and Seamless.
